As part of GNCCI’s ongoing engagement with members and strategic national initiatives, President of the Chamber, Mr. Stephane “Abbas” Miezan paid a working visit to Forsteve Poultry Complex in the Western Region.
The visit provided an opportunity to gain first-hand appreciation of the progress made so far, understand operational challenges, and explore the growth potential of the enterprise and its contribution to Ghana’s industrialisation and food security agenda.
Commending the management of Forsteve Poultry Complex for an impressive start, the President reaffirmed GNCCI’s commitment to mobilising advocacy, partnerships, and institutional support to strengthen local production and accelerate industrial growth.
Forsteve Poultry Complex recently organized an intensive Animal Nutrition Training Program for its workers, poultry farmers, and livestock producers in Takoradi. The training was facilitated by a livestock nutrition expert from the Netherlands through the Netherlands Senior Experts Programme (PUM).
The training focused on improving animal feeding practices, feed formulation, nutrition management, and strategies for enhancing livestock productivity while reducing production costs. Participants gained practical knowledge on balancing feed rations, optimizing nutrient utilization, and maintaining healthy growth rates in poultry and livestock.
